Poster Idea
Rather than creating an actual poster for one of my designs, I have instead chooses to use the wooden blocks that I smeared paint on as a base to my design.
I will be utilising the wooden blocks and, rather than just taking photographs of them, will be using them as he actual 'poster' itself.
To do this, I will be experimenting further with the colours that I use on the blocks, since I have only tested so far with primary colours, and will eventually be drawing or painting on illustrations that are related to my hoses topic within the creative industries over the top of the paint experimentation.
From experimenting multiple times with the same colours, I have narrowed down that using too much blue turns the colour muddy, and that overlaying one smear with another in a different direction also makes it a lot muddier.
What I like about the medium I have used is that you can see the grains of wood through the paint, and that the paint doesn't smoothly cover the entire block because of this.
I also like how each different experimentation looks different depending on how I lay down the colour before hand and how the amount of the different colours can change it from being relatively clear to muddy, and that the texture of the wood can also affect this.
