My Chosen Idea

Using the research I have done, I have decided to incorporate both aspects from both The Arts and Crafts Movement as well as the Art Nouveau Movement, Specifically, William Morris and Alphonse Mucha.

William Morris was the lead artist of the Arts and Crafts Movement, and speciallized in creating pattern of natural things such as plants and flowers, and making them into such things as tapestries and furniture coverings, His patterns were later used as wallpaper, and became an iconic statement in England.

Alphonse Mucha was the lead Artist for the Paris Art Nouveau movement, so much so, that the movement in Paris was known as Le style Mucha before being known as Art Nouveau. He was most known for his poster of then famous actress Sarah Bernhardt. 

I intent to create numerous posters with a mix of both artists, and include models from big known shows or designers so as to incorporate my theme of fashion illustration.
