Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep ehibition (Images)

While the majority of visitors made their way up the stairs upon entering the gallery, I decided to go on an adventure and follow a rather dark ‘hallway’ behind the main space to see what I might find. Behind the thin white painted cinderblock wall was another room, which contained a rather lovely set-up. It had a relaxing aura and consisted of a worn red seat, a couple of messy and yet intriguing paintings and a roller cart topped with a French Fancy, a rather stale Battenberg and a book.
Within the main space, tucked away in the far right corner from the gallery’s doorway was a rather random and yet eye catching sculpture which exuded a weirdness that, much like the lights draped around the golden mannequin’s body, shone across the room. With its wig-wearing toilet paper topped head and robots body it was bound to capture some attention. While commanding the attention however, a piece of rather plain yet bold artwork stood behind, shadowed by the golden sculptures brightness. While this piece is rather plain it wasn’t hard to miss, as it was pasted to the wall that reached the highest ceiling in the place and was visible as soon as you entered the door. Upon contemplation this piece seemed to lack much thought and was simply something that reflected the experimentations of the artist, who, it seemed, grabbed 3 bottles of paint and squirted it across a white sheet of canvas in an array of squiggles and lines.
