Human form and Portraiture

Final testing stage

Paint swatches, final gloss test and further experimenting with snakes

10/12/14

Gloss test: After finally remembering to bring in the clear nail varnish, I discovered that this was the best gloss to use out of all tested, however, decided that the other glosses I tested would also be useful

The clear nail varish would be used for details such as the eyes, where high gloss is needed, and the PVA mixed with water would be used to add a slight sheen to the face cast its self, so as to make it a little more lifelike.

After this, I then moved on to paint swatches, so I knew exactly what formula I needed to create the same colour again in the future. I did this for both the natural face cast and the Medusa face cast

I then moved on to evaluation of the first face cast (the natural one)

Further evaluation is necessary, and evaluation of the Medusa mask is needed.
