Photographing and Using Texture
02/03/16
As part of poster development, it was required of my to include my own photo imagery, since the Unit compromises of both traditional and mixed media. The photo's I took were of different textures and Macro and Super Macro of everyday objects and things around me, so as to make the posters more interesting and visually appealing. The idea of taking Macro images of every day objects was that the actual object was obscure, and so people would be drawn to the poster to work out what it was.
The textures I chose were of everyday things, such as shoes, books and pens, and some of not so everyday objects, such as paintings that were hung up within my college building or of the materials that the building was made out of or that surrounded the building.
These images would later be used within the posters.
As an extension to this, I also looked into texture images that were already on the internet, most of which weren't very good quality, to see how they could also fit into my poster work, as well as how I could develop from them.
These textures were all very simple and obvious, and were all also quite industrial.
